Word of the Week: Firmament

I love the word firmament because it means not just the sky or heavens, but refers to them as a tangible thing. I've always been fascinated with space and the idea of those tiny specks of light being real, physical objects. Firmament is a a word that speaks to me on that wavelength and makes me feel at once infinite and infinitesimal.
